Accessibility Statement
We want everyone to be able to use this site — including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or reduced motion. Here's where we stand and how to reach us if something doesn't work.
What we're aiming for
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as our standard. That's the benchmark most commonly referenced for websites in the United States.
We're describing our ongoing efforts here rather than claiming a finished result. Accessibility is something we keep working at as the site changes.
What we've done
- Every page can be navigated with a keyboard alone, and each page starts with a "Skip to main content" link.
- A clearly visible outline shows which element the keyboard is on.
- Text and background colors were checked against the WCAG contrast minimums and adjusted where they fell short.
- All images carry descriptive alternative text.
- Every form field has a real, permanently visible label — not just placeholder text — and errors are announced to screen readers.
- Pages use proper headings and landmarks so screen-reader users can navigate by structure.
- Animation is switched off automatically for visitors whose device requests reduced motion.
- Text can be zoomed without the layout breaking, and we never block pinch-zoom.
- We do not use an accessibility overlay or accessibility widget. Those don't fix underlying problems, so we fix the site itself instead.
Known limitations
We'd rather be honest than make claims we can't back up. We're currently aware of the following:
- Our waitlist form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam. It's designed to be usable without solving a puzzle, but it's built by another company and we don't control it. If it blocks you, email us and we'll add you to the waitlist ourselves.
- Automated testing only catches part of what matters. Our review of this site with assistive technology is ongoing, and we expect to find and fix more.
If something doesn't work, tell us
This is the part we actually mean. If any page, form, or piece of content on this site gets in your way, email hello@barkatthemoonllc.com and describe what happened and, if you can, what page you were on and what you were using.
We aim to reply within 5 business days. If we can't fix something quickly, we'll tell you where things stand and give you another way to get what you needed — including simply doing it for you over email or by phone.
Getting help another way
Anything you can do on this website, you can do by contacting us directly. Email hello@barkatthemoonllc.com and a person will help you.
